Hello and welcome to my portfolio! My name is Peyton Rives, a creative professional whose career has been shaped by a background in both communications and design. Since October 2022, I have served as Director of Graphic Design for Illinois State Athletics, where I oversee the department's visual communications across social media, print materials, signage, digital advertising, environmental displays, and more.
Before transitioning into design full-time, I worked as a Communications Graduate Assistant at Illinois State, supporting the track & field and cross country programs through social media management, website administration, feature writing, statistics, and media relations. I earned my degree from the Missouri School of Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications and spent three years as a student intern with Missouri Athletics, contributing in both communications and design roles. That combination of experiences gave me a unique perspective on both the strategic and creative sides of content creation.
Outside of work, I'm an avid follower of Mizzou athletics and proudly bleed black and gold. When I'm not creating content, you'll likely find me logging miles on a run, catching a movie and then sharing my thoughts as an *amateur* film critic on Letterboxd.
